About Me!

My photo
A crazy poet, a creative writer, an occasional blogger, a dreamy dancer to the rhythms of Bharatanatyam, a passionate 'Art of Living' trainer with a penchant for Meditation, a perpetual learner of Sanskrit, a hobby graphologist, a boring Software professional .... I am all that life has ever thrown at me so lovingly and continues to!

Cry of the Green

I am the last tree on this wounded limb of yours, Oh Mother,
Can they wake up to the havoc they’ve created, at least now?
They’ve slayed me, they’ve hurt you; as though it’s all sacred,
What more are they waiting for: to erase me and you off the scene?

You offered them your land, they turned it into an arid patch,
You gave them water, they wasted and ravaged it beyond match,
I gave them life, and so much more, because you said so,
They gorged me for things unnecessary, never heeding to my woe

Do they imagine the repercussions coming, once I’m gone?
Can they even visualize something called life, if you begin to decline?
How can they so royally ignore you and your agonizing moan?
Will they ever realize that it is you, who gave them a chance to breathe?

Why are you still keeping mum after all this, Oh Mother in disdain
Ask them to act soon or show them what it is like when you go insane !!

Heart of Gold

They said she has a heart of gold,
She kept wondering what they meant;
That it's precious enough to be pure and rare all the time,
Or that it's brittle enough to break and melt anytime!

Monopolies of the Heart!

She had realized that her habit of jumping into people's lives whenever they needed her inspite of all the pain and troubles it caused is letting them take her for granted. She decided not to let it become her weakness anymore. She had learnt her lesson the hard way.

Days later, "Can you please do this for me?", someone asked her.
"Sure, why not?", she said without a second thought.
She had learnt the lesson. Her heart, had not!
